I am absolutely blown away at what this small organization has accomplished in 2007. I am not a huge numbers person. In fact, I dislike math greatly (probably because I am not good at it), but for all you statisticians out there, take a look at these numbers:

Overall:

  • 213 - the number of volunteers who served during 2007
  • 8,480 - the number of hours spent working in the mission field by staff and volunteers
  • 44 - the number of work orders that were completed

Home Mission Efforts:

  • 59% - the percentage of work orders completed locally
  • 75% - the percentage of our volunteers who served locally
  • 16% - the increase in field hours served locally over 2006
  • 1000+ lbs. - the amount of clothes collected for local charities

Not to mention, Phase 2 of Morningside Park was completed. Local organizations received assistance and volunteer for events and projects. Many elderly and needy received yard care and home repairs. Youth groups were given resources and studies & activities held. And this is just a snapshot of what F2W accomplished in its hometown during 2007. But what is most important is that within these numbers are countless individuals who were served and loved.

In 2008 we will continue our focus on Local Missions. The Leadership Team believes strongly that service begins at home.

Now as far as Away Missions...
